We are a team of experienced clinicians with broad based knowledge in the field of mental health. Mental Wellbeing is on a spectrum from mental instability to flourishing mental wellness. We support all individuals on the spectrum and provide private holistic mental health care.

Dr Chinwe Obinwa, MBBS, MRCPsych, MWACP, MNCP,

PG Cert MedEd

Consultant Psychiatrist

    

Dr Obinwa has over 20 years broad based experience in the provision of mental health  services in Nigeria  and  the United  Kingdom. She is a member of the West African College of Physicians and Royal College of Psychiatrists. She has experience of working in various subspecialties in psychiatry including specialist female only and  offender services.


Dr  Obinwa  has  particular  expertise  in  the  forensic  assessment  of complex cases, involving multiple agencies who present a significant risk of harm to others. She has special interest in Occupational Psychiatry, Neuropsychiatry as well as medical education and training in mental health.



Dr Olukemi Akanle  MBBS, MRCPsych

Consultant Psychiatrist

  

Dr Akanle  is  a  Consultant  Psychiatrist  with  over 20 years’   practice experience in Nigeria  and  the United Kingdom. She is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. 


Dr Akanle has specialist General  Adult  psychiatry  with  experience  in  Adult  Attention  Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and early onset psychosis. She also has experience in Addictions, Liaison Psychiatry, Older Adult Psychiatry and Neurodevelopmental Disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder.



 

Dr Taiwo Oduguwa, MBBS, FWACP, MBA

Consultant Psychiatrist,

 

Dr Oduguwa is a Consultant Psychiatrist and a Fellow of the West African College of Physicians with over 20 years’ experience in the practice of mental health in Nigeria. She has vast experience in mental health problems in young and working age adults.

Dr Oduguwa is extensively involved in research. She trained as a multi-centre research coordinator at the Maryland Psychiatric Research Centre, Baltimore, USA. Dr Oduguwa has participated and coordinated international collaborative studies with the University of Maryland, USA and Solent University, United Kingdom.




Dr Akan Ukpong, MBBS, MRCGP, DRCGP, MSc Public Health General Practitioner (GP)

 

Dr Ukpong is an experienced clinician with over 20 years’ experience in the practice of medicine in Nigeria and the United Kingdom. He trained as a General Practitioner in the United Kingdom and he is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners. 

 

He has special interest in Public and Occupational Health, Women’s Health and Mental Wellbeing. Dr Ukpong also has a keen interest in African Health Development Initiatives and International Diplomacy.

Dr Obi Okoye, MBBS, MRCPsych, MSc Neuropsychiatry

Consultant Neuropsychiatrist

 

Dr Okoye has over 20 years broad based experience in the field of mental health in the United Kingdom. He is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. Dr Okoye has extensive experience in General Adult Psychiatry with special interest in complex cases with personality disorders and substance misuse.


His particular expertise in neuropsychiatry includes autism, learning disability and brain injury. Dr Okoye is a published author in a peer reviewed journal.


 


 

Chinyere Okonkwo DSW, BSc, MSc, HHF, ICAP II

Clinical Psychologist

 

Mrs Okonkwo is a trained Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years clinical experience and an International Certified Addiction Professional (ICAP I &II). Her Fellowship Programme was through the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship Award at the Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond VA, USA, on Substance Abuse Education, Prevention and Treatment. She is experienced in psychosocial management of disasters (Ebola and COVID 19 crises) including managing trauma related problems.   

 

 

Mrs Okonkwo is involved in providing employee wellness and workplace psychological services for corporate organisations. She is one of the Consultants for Independent Counselling and Advisory Services (ICAS) and involved in community enlightenment programmes on psychological health and wellbeing.


 



Ayomide Ogunkeye BSc, MSc, MBPsS

Neuropsychologist

 

Ms Ogunkeye obtained her psychology degree in Ghana and trained as a certified counsellor. She also has a Master’s Degree in Neuropsychology from the University of Bristol, United Kingdom. She is a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS). Ms Ogunkeye has particular expertise in assessment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Neurodevelopmental Disorders with special interest in Autism.

 

She also has experience as a research assistant and has been involved in the field of mental health research on Epilepsy and Adult ADHD as well as service evaluation initiatives. Ms Ogunkeye is a keen mental health advocate particularly around mental health issues in the workplace.
